PAST EVENT - Wilbarger County Breast Cancer Fun Ride

The Wilbarger County Breast Cancer Fun Ride will be held in Vernon, Texas on October 5th, 2013.

Location:
-1630 Hillcrest Drive, Vernon, Texas

You will enjoy a 2 1/2 hr ride through the North Texas Rural Country side w/ 4 stops along the way. You will start off in the city of Vernon Texas and travel the roads of Wilbarger County rolling through the largest single family owned ranch in Texas (Waggoner Ranch) seeing wildlife and life from the days past. Going through the once ranch town of GrayBack now only a Church. Onto Wichita County where we will go through the town of Electra (named after the daughter of Mr. Waggoner). On from there back into Wilbarger country going through the ghost town of Fargo and White City. Once in Hardeman County we will see the small Texas town of Chillicothe (known for the Medicine Mounds of Indian Chief Quanah Parker). From there we will head to the Ghost town of Farmers Valley in Wilbarger County onto the end of the ride at the Bank of the West in Vernon. After the ride all riders will be given a lunch and music will be provided. Other vendors will be set up and a Peoples Choice Bike Show will be going on.
