Ottos Prime8 Memorial Poker Run

Palm Harbor, FL (June 11, 2011) –

The Suncoast Primate Sanctuary presents

“Otto’s Prime8 Memorial Poker Run” in memory of

Otto, a Western Silverback Lowland Gorilla. As a

young infant, Otto was found ill. He was going to

be euthanized. Bob and Mae Noell went to save Otto

and took him to their veterinarian. He was

diagnosed with Septic Arthritis and Tuberculosis.

After extensive care, Otto was able to survive and

live life. Otto became a celebrity after his

appearance in the American Tourister Luggage

magazine ad. In 2007, Otto passed away at the age

of 42. This Poker Run is in memory of Otto in

order to raise awareness and funds for a million

dollar Resource Center. In addition to the Poker

Run, the Sanctuary will be having a Family Fun Day

for families who do not wish to participate in the

run. This will include food, drinks, games, music,

and more!
