| DESCRIPTION | The 7th Annual Derrik’s Ride for Childhood Cancer Research will be on June 20th, 2009 at Midway Bar and Grill in Detroit Kansas (7 miles east of Abilene on Old Hwy 40). This ride is in memory of Derrik Ray who passed away in 2002 at the age of six after battling a rare form of cancer for 3 years. Registration starts at 11 am, with last bike in at 4:30. Cost is $10 per hand with a chance of winning a door prize. We have event T-shirts, patches and bandanas for sale and tickets for MANY raffle items. We have a Bike Show with prizes for Best Overall Bike and People’s Choice (the bikes must participate in the Poker Run). There will be a hog roast and a live performance by Ron Bailey and the Rockets that evening. Tent camping is available for those who wish to stay. Come join us for a day of fun for a good cause in honor of a kid who thought “The sun never sets on cool”. For all your Motorcycle Event information check out the Motorcycle Monster.
